Thanks for replies guys. yea i can get into os if i switch the jumper for the cmos every time i start up pc. i just got done tearing everything down, cleaning and starting with bare bones.. Ideacentre: monitor stuck in power saving mode - cmos reset to correct boot failure. Very helpful thankyou. tried all of your suggested solutions in order, and it was the final one of removing the cmos battery that worked. my pc had been going into hibernation mode if left on and unused for an hour or so, and i had been pulling out the power cable and reinserting to get it to restart as it wouldn’t “wake up” any other way..
